Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born on 16 April 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. Her father is an native of Argentina with Scottish as well as English heritage is also her mother. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor Joy also has 4 brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's previous marriages. The family lived in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was very traumatic. She was not willing to study English and believed she would be able to relocate back to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands and then Hill House. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. She quit high school at 16 to pursue an acting profession. Taylor-Joy's dream to become an actor began when she was just a child. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the very first model to hire her as a professional model.
