Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ocasio-Ruiz was born on the 10th of January 1993 is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He has been called the "King of modern Reggaeton".[2][3He is part of the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. [4] His debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album. The album's lead track, "Todo de Ti" was released in June 2021. From twelve nominations, he has won two Latin Grammy Awards. Raul Alejandro Ocasio was born on January 10 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a guitarist and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his vocalist backing. They introduced him to the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. [6] Alejandro lived with his father for a long time throughout the United States, mostly New York City and Miami, where the music he listened to was influenced by R&B and the dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel an ally, a friend of a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood acquaintances. They both attended the same school and shared classes. [9][10] Alejandro took part in school talent shows when he was a kid because he is a dancer. After completing high school, he enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico. He was a soccer player between the ages of six to twenty. However, he eventually left because he was unable to be as effective as he had hoped. To be scouted for the Premier Development League (PDL), he moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro is well-known for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop music. Billboard commented that it has helped "set him apart from a growing class of pop-leaning reggaetoneros". Presley and Jackson influenced him early on then following by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. [24He also credits Ciara for being his musical inspiration.
